Title: Research Teaching Specialist
Pay rate:$26/hr - $30/hr depending on experience
Location: 135 E State Trenton NJ 08625
Hours: Onsite, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Master’s Degree in Public Health or relevant field, plus one (1) year of related research experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, plus two (2) years of related research experience.
- Research experience in an academic medical setting preferred.
- Prior experience with statistical software (e.g. SAS, SPSS), bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, coordination and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and an ability to set priorities and maintain deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative, yet seek supervision, as appropriate.
JOB DUTIES: - The primary role of the Research Teaching Specialist is to perform research activities utilizing data from the New Jersey State Cancer Registry (NJSCR).
- Perform work requiring application of standard research techniques and procedures such as the following;
- Perform various tasks in research, such as call patients and recruit them to participate in the study.
- Enter data into a study database.
- Coordinate study mailings and other study communication materials.
- Print and assemble mailings efficiently.
- Effectively participates in research study meetings.
- Evaluate existing procedures and suggest revisions where necessary, propose new procedures where required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
