As a Production Assistant with the Production team, you will provide strong administrative and production field support for a variety of live show entertainment offerings, projects, and special events both on and off-property at the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Production Assistant is a non-union hourly role and reports to the Production Manager.
Manage project meeting schedule as established by the Production Team including writing and distributing accurate and concise meeting notes
Manage production schedule of a project, compiling and validating information with partners to identify schedule conflicts and ensure effective completion of turning points
Build and maintain a wide range of project documentation, including production calendars, contact lists, catering grids, talent grids, and more
Event day responsibilities of wrangling talent, leading backstage flow, and cuing talent/presenters
Request, book, and coordinate talent for events of varied size and scale.
Manage project file storage/documentation and access to such information including adhering to and implementing Disney Experiences Intellectual Property Protection standards
Prepare closeout documentation for archiving and turnover into the operation
Manage catering logistics for all project needs
Collect photo/video documentation for assigned events on and off of Walt Disney World® Resort property
Requires minimum of 1 year related experience – film/theater production, special event coordination/planning, or other themed entertainment projects (including internships)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being flexible to ever-changing priorities
Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multi-task and deliver quality, timely work, within tight deadlines
Strong problem solving skills
Self-starter/proactive thinker with strong sense of initiative and an eye for continuous process improvement
Willingness to adapt with evolving technology, to learn new applications, and to train others on their use
Communicates effectively with partners across all disciplines and business segments, as well as vendors, performers, VIPs, executives, and studio teams
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to securely handle high value items, including park tickets and gift cards
Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team
Available to work weekends, holidays, and third shift, as needed
Solid understanding of collaborative tools, software, and file-sharing services including: Office 365, MacOS (Keynote), Zoom, SmartSheet
Familiarity working with entertainment unions and/or associations
Willingness to travel on various domestic and international assignments as needed
Bilingual/Multilingual
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience comparable in Theater/Entertainment-related field
