Job description

First Vision Healthcare in Ankeny, Iowa are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our dedicated and growing team. Our ideal candidate is caring, a team player, punctual, organized, detailed orientated, has effective communication skills, respectful and dedicated.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a 24 hour supported community living site in Ankeny, Iowa. Assisting individuals with activities of daily living; including hygiene, dressing, showering, preparing meals, feeding, passing medications, transportation, engaging in community activities and documentation as well as assigned duties will be performed on a daily basis. The below listed preferred attributes are a plus. If they are not held, they must be agreed to be completed if offered employment. Every other weekend is currently mandatory for this position. Available shifts: AM shift (7:00AM-3:00PM) PM shift (3:00PM-11:00PM)

Qualifications

Experience:

• Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)
• License/Certification:
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Driver's License (preferred)
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Medication Manager (preferred)
• Adult Mandatory Reporter (preferred)
