Job description
GENERAL JOB PURPOSE
The Project Manager is accountable for effective planning and scheduling of all project resources. The Low Voltage Project Manager will assign work priorities, develop job plans, define parts and materials and engage the appropriately trained resources to execute a safe and efficient project with maximum productivity and a high degree of customer satisfaction.
The key roles include the following:
- Managing Project Timelines
- Manage Job Productivity & Financials
- Manage Customer/Vendor/Subcontractor
- Quality Control/Closeout Packages
- Pre-Construction Planning
- Timecard Approvals
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening with a clean driving record
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Flexible schedule
- Able to lift more than 70 lbs.
- Professional, accountable, reliable and willing to go above and beyond to provide a quality product for our customers
- 7+ years' experience in estimating and managing various size projects in the telecommunication cabling industry
- Experience in construction management and managing project with multiple sub-contractors a plus
- Knowledge of applicable codes and BICSI standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- MS Office and MS Project proficient
- Must have supervisory experience
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Oversight and management of telecommunication crews for multiple projects
- Maintain and manage project budgets (WIP reports) and other various reports required
- Meet customer schedules, expectations and delivery of services
- Must be able to estimate, manage project materials effectively
- Train installers/technicians on structured cabling systems, fiber and copper termination, splicing, testing and troubleshooting skills
Education Requirements (desired)
- Industry recognized certifications (i.e. BICSI, RCDD, OSP, DCIC)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
