Job description
BAE Systems is seeking a Logistics Business Systems Analyst I to join our UK Logistics/CLASP team. This position is located in Rockville, MD. The qualified candidate will become part of our team supporting the U.S. and UK users of the Comprehensive Logistics Automated Support Program (CLASP) which provides U.S. logistics data to support the UK Trident II Strategic Weapon System (SWS), Strategic Weapons Support Systems (SWSS), and Selected Ship Systems (SSS) for the UK Vanguard and Dreadnought class Trident II submarines. CLASP also provides online processing and monitoring of UK requisitions submitted to the U.S. CLASP is sponsored by our U.S. Navy’s Strategic Systems Program (SSP) logistics customer. The successful candidate will be involved with learning the features and functionality of CLASP, as well as interacting with customers and the BAE Systems’ CLASP engineers. This position involves up to 4 trips a year, both in the U.S. and the UK.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support UK Logistics/CLASP team with CLASP help desk requests from users
- After learning features and functionality of the CLASP system, assist with in‑person and virtual training sessions for new CLASP users. In-person training sites may include the BAE Systems’ office in Rockville MD, and customer sites located in Kings Bay GA, Cape Canaveral FL, and New London CT in the U.S. Occasionally, training is held at various locations throughout the UK.
- Support the Logistics Exchange (LOGEX) meetings held twice a year – once in the U.S. and once in the UK. Support includes working with the SSP customer to finalize the agenda and attendees list, preparing several BAE Systems’ presentations, collecting presentations from U.S. and UK attendees, compiling the LOGEX notebook, participating in the LOGEX meetings, and compiling the minutes from the LOGEX meetings.
- Participate in other UK Logistics meetings in support of the SSP customer.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: HS diploma and at least four years of related/relevant work experience. Candidates who have a two year or a four year degree with the required equivalent years of related/relevant work experience, will also be considered.
Additional skills/experience required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Navy Logistics experience
- Basic working knowledge of Oracle SQL
- Basic working knowledge of Unix
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $53680 - $91300
