Position Summary:

Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ( RSDM ) is seeking a Student Assistant for the Department of Oral Biology.

The Student Assistant will work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator in the Department of Oral Biology at the School of Dental Medicine. The Student Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator with research projects addressing oral or dental microbiome and HIV -associated comorbidities, coinfections, and complications in infants, children, youth, and adults with HIV . The Student Assistant's primary responsibility will be performing data management and statistical analyses of datasets with large numbers of records and variables. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a student interested in developing expertise in data analysis methods for epidemiological research.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Be highly motivated to obtain background knowledge in HIV and other areas relevant to research projects.
• Perform data management and data analysis with attention to detail.
• Create tables and figures, and assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts, publications, reports and presentations.
• Provide updates on research progress in an organized and timely manner.
• Prepare and maintain IRB regulatory documents and IRB submissions.
• Understand and adhere to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of interest Policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Must be a current Rutgers student.

• Standing, sitting, walking, talking, or hearing. 
• No special vision requirements. 
• Must be able to lift or exert force up to 25 pounds.
• Office environment. 
• Moderate noise.
