LOCATION: This position is onsite, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office- Tuesday & Wednesday)
JOB SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of BGCA’s procurement system and vendor analytics. This role will be required to work independently and at times with little supervision to accomplish goals. The Procurement Manager will be instrumental in proactively identifying problems and opportunities throughout the business and providing innovative solutions. The position will be responsible for identifying, building, and implementing best-in-class tools and practices for Procure-to-Pay. In partnership with BFO and other divisions, The Procurement Manager will also play a key role in ensuring BGCA’s physical and financial assets are utilized most efficiently. The role will require significant collaboration with key stakeholders from across divisions and business partnership service areas
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Proactively identify opportunities for cost out and cost avoidance throughout the organization. Lead business partner buy-in to cost saving initiatives, as well as work with business partners to implement cost saving strategies.
- Establish and own organization-wide policies regarding RFI, RFPs, and negotiations with new and existing vendors. Create and update toolkits for improved self-service by business partners.
- Lead the implementation of the org-wide Procure-to-Pay Basware system. Investigate and lead or assist in the implementation of future tools.
- Review contracts more than $10K in Scanmarket as part of organizational approval workflow.
- Support Conferences and Events Teams (i.e., Conferences and Learning Events, RD Events, CLS team, etc.) in finding and implementing efficiencies, reducing duplication of efforts, conducting successful RFPs, and spearheading cost-savings’ initiatives.
- Own the relationship between AAA/Concur to coordinate corporate travel services, cost savings, and policy compliance.
- Develop and track T&E performance to plan/KPIs, using PrimeAnalytics BI among other software/programs.
- Conduct annual review of travel policy and procedures; communicate and educate employees on policy
- Identify and cultivate BGCA Preferred Vendor relationships, establishing discounted pricing and payment terms.
- Conduct annual review of top Professional Services vendor relationships and contracts.
- Analyze and report data as it relates to vendor partnerships to track KPIs, identify spending trends to leverage improved pricing, and coordinate cost-savings and policy compliance initiatives.
- Strategically source competitively priced vendors, with particular attention to discounts available to BGCA.
- Conduct budget analysis; report out monthly on division/department performance, and travel policy compliance and violations.
- Ensure that controls are properly designed, operating effectively, and essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Assist the Finance Director in preparation, coordination and consolidation of BOG/Trustee/Committee meeting materials and communications.
- Independently prepare various executive reporting materials with great attention to detail and assist the Manager, FP&A in preparation, coordination and consolidation of BOG/Trustee/Committee meeting materials and communications.
- Perform ongoing analysis of relevant data and develop ad-hoc reports as requested to support business-related programs and strategies.

Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor of Arts degree in finance or education/experience equivalency. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) preferred.
- Minimum of four to seven years’ experience in financial analysis or combination of financial analysis and comparable career and educational experience. Experience in non-profit accounting preferred, but not required. Must have the ability to independently manage multi-task and complex assignments.
- Understanding of BGCA and Movement priorities.
- Experience working in a highly demanding environment and with senior-level executives and Board members.
SKILLS
- Demonstrated skills in the preparation and analysis of financial reports. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Expertise in budgeting and reporting. Design and establish appropriate systems to gather, record and present data. Good organizational and time management skills. High degree of familiarity with and ability to use computerized accounting systems. Familiarity with corporate travel services, related performance indicators, and corporate travel policies. Demonstrated ability to gain the respect of BGCA staff and the ability to influence the adherence of accounting policies and practices. Anticipate needs of the projects and make suggestions to supervisor. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
