Job description
Our client, a $2 billion investment firm, is looking to add a Senior Tax Accountant to its team. This individual would be responsible for handling the tax filings and portfolio investments (not preparing the returns) of the firm. Requires knowledge of a wide range of tax areas and processes, as well as the ability to develop strategic outcomes to complex tax issues. This individual would liaison between the company, investors, and other stakeholders and help shepherd the tax process through.
Key Responsibilities- Reviews complex individual, trust, partnership, not-for-profit, S corporate, C Corporate, and foreign tax returns; assists in client management and practice development activities.
- Leads all tax planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects.
- Manages the vendors for outsourced tax functions.
- Reviews tax returns prepared by outsourced CPA vendors and makes recommendations on return preparation regarding changes, accuracy, and tax savings opportunities; gains increasing responsibility in review process.
- Researches and consults on various tax matters; utilizes tax-related software to prepare and process returns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required)
- 2+ years federal and state tax accounting
- Public accounting, investment or private equity experience a plus but not required
