The Opportunity
The Payroll Accountant is responsible for processing Bi-Weekly US payroll and making necessary adjustments to the professional's master record. Coordinates with payroll associates to ensure timely and accurate processing of payrolls for different B&V entities. Conducts an overall audit of preliminary payroll reports before finalizing the pay calculation and confirmation. #LI-NK1 #LI-Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Adjust payroll reports and taxes to reflect the professional records.
- Assists professionals with payroll-related questions.
- Research tax inquiries, penalties, and overpayments for all domestic firms.
- Generates and provides various payroll reports to the Payroll Manager for reconciliation purposes.
- Assists Statutory Accountants in creating journal vouchers for payroll journal entries, payroll tax payments, and accurate reporting of payroll data in the financial system.
- Assists IT Support and Payroll Manager in testing program changes to the payroll system, all update implementation, and year-end tax processing.
- Assists with additional projects, as assigned.
- Organize work and set priorities to efficiently meet deadlines.
- Responsible for protecting and maintaining the privacy of such records and information.
- Performs technical research as needed for new or changing matters.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.
- Typically 2+ years related experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of General Ledger Systems: Basic
- Knowledge of payroll tax payments: Basic
- Knowledge of payroll processing: Basic
- Multi-tasking ability
- Problem Solving skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Hybrid work schedule, typical office environment. Extensive keyboarding, no travel, limited overtime.
