PARTS & INVENTORY TECHNICIAN
PARTS & INVENTORY TECHNICIAN (P&I)
Monday – Friday 6:45am – 3:30 pm.
Position Description:
The Parts and Inventory Technician is exclusively responsible for managing the receipt and stocking of incoming parts & equipment, updating and modifying inventory descriptions and quantities in our CMMS, completing regular cycle-counts & inventory checks, initiating parts restocking orders, and for maintaining the order and cleanliness of our various parts and equipment storage areas. In addition to these core duties, the P&I tech is a full member of the maintenance department reporting to the Maintenance Manager and may be periodically required to perform other duties.
Key Job Responsibilities & Skills:
- Manage the digital receipt and physical stocking of incoming parts and equipment, and communicate the arrival of critical or anticipated components.
- Create or modify parts within our CMMS with accurate identifiers, descriptions and bin locations.
- Modify bin locations & storage areas in the field as needed to maintain logical order.
- Manage parts inventory through regular inventory checks and cycle counts, and ensure physical quantities match CMMS quantities.
- Initiate parts restocking orders and promptly communicate inventory shortages.
- With the full support of the Maintenance Manager, communicate and enforce inventory management protocol with maintenance technicians.
- Ensure parts and equipment storage areas are clean and free of clutter.
- Assist maintenance team members with work as assigned by the maintenance coordinator.
- Comply with KPC safety standards, e.g. Lock-out/Tag-out, arc flash, fall protection, PPE.

On-The-Job Requirements:
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Do considerable amount of bending, stooping, reaching, and twisting.
- Must be able to drive and operate heavy equipment.
- Must be willing to work in hot conditions.
- Must be willing to work with a computer/tablet/smartphone
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED: (Required)
- Manufacturing/Industrial experience or Industrial Parts/Supplies Experience: (Required)
- US Citizenship/Valid Work Visa (No Sponsorship Offered): (Required)
- Valid Florida Driver’s License: (Required)
