Job description
The Ryan White Programs Director will be responsible for direct oversight of Ryan White Programs, management of the Ryan White Part B director, management of Ryan White EHE director, production, and coordination of ongoing communications to our partners, and working with Ryan White Part B constituents and other community partners as needed to achieve the mission and vision of the Ryan White Part B Program.
Job responsibilities include:
- Communicating with project officers and leading work to obtain desired outcomes.
- Assisting with coordination of day-to-day operations of the Ryan White Part B Program and Ryan White EHE Program by working closely with the Ryan White Part B Director and the Ryan White EHE Director,
- Directly supervising the Ryan White Part B Director and the Ryan White EHE Director,
- Oversight of the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
- Monitoring and ensuring training for contractor staff is conducted as requested and at statewide meetings,
- Participating in technical assistance to the Ryan White Part B Program sub-recipients in meeting HRSA/HAB requirements,
- Collaborating and producing regular, ongoing communications from the program to our statewide partners,
- Monitoring and managing progress of the federal Ryan White Directors grant outcomes,
- Assisting the Ryan White Directors with oversight on the development and attainment of RWPB goals and objectives as outlined in the Program’s strategic plan,
- Preparation, development and submission of federal grant funding applications and associated budgets,
- Collaborating with STD/HIV Director and programs that potentially overlap to insure coordination such as HIV Prevention, STD Prevention, Viral Hepatitis and the HIV/STD Surveillance and Data Management, and other state, federal, local and community-based organizations,
- Serving as a resource on Ryan White Part B and EHE program development.
- Participating in ongoing continuing education and maintain current knowledge of HIV- related information by attending trainings, in services, attending professional development events and by self-education.
Required Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree, 7 + years of related experience, and 1-2 years of supervisory experience or statewide program oversight.
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to coordinate, manage, supervise, and motivate a diverse staff.
- Extensive knowledge of administrative processes and procedures.
- Experience and knowledge of Ryan White Programs.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and express thoughts effectively and in a clear and concise manner.
- Broad knowledge of the practice and procedure of governmental budgeting and contracting.
- Broad knowledge of state and/or federal rules and regulations and policy and procedure interpretation.
- Experience working effectively with diverse groups (e.g., governmental agencies and officials, health care organizations and professionals, and the public).
- Experience with grant writing and grants management.
- Ability to correlate, analyze, and interpret technical materials as they relate to Ryan White.
- Strong computer skills, including demonstrated use of Excel to manage data.
- Experience with program management and evaluation.
- Ability to plan, research, and initiate effective solutions to program and management problems.
- Experience with training professional staff.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with HIV Care Services and program monitoring.
- Willingness to travel throughout Mississippi and out of state, as needed.

Pay: $56,345.82 - $96,140.06 per year
