Job description
TIG Welder/Sheet Metal Fabricator
Shift: 1st
Pay: $17-25/hr.
Summary: Fabrication, assembly, installation and repair of sheet metal products and components. Precision tolerances and tubular construction. TIG welding, spot welding, some MIG welding.
Job Duties:
- Setting up and operating fabricating machines including break press, metal muncher, rollers, etc.
- Lay out, measure and inspect part dimensions to blueprints, internal drawings or written instructions using height gauges, micrometers, dial instructions and calipers.
- Experience in qualifying sheet metal parts to fit models, check fixtures and or print specifications.
- Layout, trim, saw and sand, shear, punch, brake or otherwise fabricate parts per established procedures and production standards and to stated and acceptable quality standards.
- Have general knowledge and understanding of reading blueprints, datum’s tolerances and assure quality workmanship.
- Qualify part details to tooling, fixtures and models to print specifications.
- Ability to identify any cost cutting or process improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year sheet metal fabricating experience
