Position Summary
The Manager of Retail Banking uses a results-oriented mindset and visionary leadership to manage daily branch operations. This role is responsible for delivering consumer banking products, including deposits, digital banking, and consumer loans, while ensuring regulatory compliance. The Manager of Retail Banking will demonstrate strong leadership, a customer-centric approach, and a successful history of meeting sales targets while maintaining operational excellence. The Manager of Retail Banking also partners closely with the COO, CTO, Marketing, and all Operations Staff, while supporting the needs of customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide visionary leadership to branch staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee daily branch operations, including staffing and performance management.
- Develop strategies to drive sales growth, business development, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for business growth and develop strategies to expand the customer base.
- Lead sales initiatives, including promotions and campaigns, to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
- Cultivate relationships with existing and potential customers to promote banking products and services.
- Product Delivery and Compliance:
- Ensure effective delivery of consumer banking products and services while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products, staying informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Strategic Partnership:
- Collaborate with COO, CTO, Marketing, and Operations Staff to align retail banking initiatives with organizational goals.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to enhance retail banking operations and services.
- Customer Focus:
- Champion a customer-centric approach, addressing inquiries and complaints promptly.
- Use customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing the customer experience.
- Operational Excellence:
- Implement best practices to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Monitor KPIs to track branch performance and drive operational improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving sales and achieving revenue targets in a consumer banking environment.
- Strong understanding of consumer lending products, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software applications.
- Certification in compliance or banking regulations is a plus.
