Safdie Architects is looking for a dynamic, versatile, and curious marketing professional to join our team in Somerville. Are you passionate about architecture and fascinated by a process that transforms ideas and sketches into buildings and cities? Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will work closely with the firm’s leadership and design teams to develop marketing strategies, content, and collateral that promote our people, process, expertise, and ingenuity and celebrate the positive impact of our projects in their communities.

Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and managing qualifications and proposal submissions
• Designing award submissions, interview or conference decks, templates, and custom collateral
• Supporting marketing campaign strategy, implementation, and analysis
• Assisting with business development efforts through research, monitoring, and reporting
• Managing website updates and supporting content development
• Managing content and image databases
• Opportunities to support the architectural team on design competitions and assist external partners on exhibitions and publications

• Is an adept writer and editor with graphic design acumen
• Enjoys learning by doing, iterating, and continuous improvement
• Embraces new technology and investigates emerging trends
• Has a personal interest or background in architecture or communication arts

Desired Experience & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Journalism, English or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience in marketing within an architecture, design, or consulting firm
• Proficient with Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Experience with OpenAsset, KA Synthesis and/or project management SaaS a plus

How We Work:

Please note that this role is full-time in our office—a bright and open converted industrial building—between Porter and Harvard Squares in Somerville, Massachusetts. While the role offers some schedule flexibility, we are not hybrid or remote.
