Exciting Opportunity for an Integrated Pharmacist in Pediatric Care
About Us: Our Pharmacist team specializing in pediatric care is expanding, and we're searching for a talented Integrated Pharmacist to join our NICU pharmacy team. With a competitive salary ranging from $133,500 to $142,500, along with comprehensive benefits, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact in pediatric healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescriptions, provide drug-related information, and offer education to patients, caregivers, and medical staff.
- Dispense controlled substances and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Supervise pharmacy technical staff and provide mentorship to pharmacists, students, or residents.
- Participate in Medication Use Evaluation and Process Improvement programs.
- Maintain medication profiles, review for drug-related problems, and offer consultation on drug research.
- Prepare IV solutions and additives, and report medication errors or adverse drug interactions.
- Assume department management responsibilities in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager or Lead Pharmacist.
- Collaborate with professionals to produce newsletters and draft policies or procedures.
- Perform clinical interventions such as medication profile review, patient counseling, and therapeutic drug monitoring.
- Document clinical interventions and ensure adherence to safety protocols and organizational standards.
Must-Haves:
- Clinical Pharmacy Residency, with a minimum of PGY1.
- Clinical Pharmacy Specialty experience in General Pediatrics, NICU, or PICU.
- Acute care inpatient pediatric experience is required.
- Current Texas Pharmacy license.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Pharmacy Sterile Product certification through an accredited program if compounding sterile products.
