Job description
Assistant Controller
Overview: We are a full-scale land development, design/build, and fully-integrated real estate company, and property management firm. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Controller to join our dynamic accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial and administrative operations.
This is a remote opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Supervise 3 Assistant Accounting Managers
- General ledger maintenance
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
- Ensure that financial information is accurate and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Analyze budgets, financial trends, and forecast future revenues and expenses.
- Provide administrative support for the organization.
- Perform Property Management Accounting
- Manage financial audits and prepare tax returns.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the accounting profession.
- Strong knowledge of Property Management Accounting, CAM, MRI, and Real Estate Accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
