THIS POSITION IS 100% ONSITE IN DUBLIN, OH. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS STRICTLY A DESKTOP AUTOMATON ENGINEER ROLE. PLEASE DO NOT SEND CANDIDATES WHO ONLY HAVE WEB AUTOMATION EXPERIENCE.
looking for self-motivated Sr. Automation QA Engineer to contribute to the test automation efforts across the restaurant technology stacks. He/she will collaborate closely with the engineering teams and evangelize automation techniques with other QA engineers. He/She will also be responsible for learning the current restaurant Point of Sale technology stack and applying these learnings to automate the testing for Wendy's international applications.
This is a 100% on site position
This would also include testing in both physical and virtual test labs, point of sales systems, payments, credit card readers and all other components within the restaurant technology stack.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Hands on experience with Automation on a Windows environment for a desktop-based application
- Excellent Communication and strong team management skills
- Responsible for leading a team in planning, estimating, testing, and certifying.
- Identify, record and track progress of issues and enhancements.
- Experience in developing automation framework for POS/Retail application from scratch.
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze different types of test automation issues/failures.
- Experience preparing test automation status for different stakeholders.
- Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience analyzing business requirements and functional specifications.
- Collaborate with QA leadership to architect, establish and evolve QA processes.
- Ensure all projects meet both functional and non-functional requirements and map to QA test cases .
- Partner closely with the engineering teams to replicate and resolve issues.
- Expert Experience using QA Tools: Jira, zephyr scale, Confluence, etc.
- Primarily focused on being a lead for the restaurant technology automation efforts.
- Work closely with the offshore automation team and provide ideas and support for the new features in scope for automation on the restaurant stack.
- Excellent team player and able to train the manual testers in the QA team.
- Think out of the box and create Complex Test Cases for both positive and negative test scenarios.
- Update existing defects to keep up with changing requirements.
- Document detailed defects.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and correct most issues in test environments and with automation.
- Participate in daily team status meetings.
- Excellent Communication skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
- Work effectively with cross functional teams and report up on status to QA manager.
Technical Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Restaurant Technology, Point of Sales (B2C) experience is a big plus.
- Minimum 8 years industry experience, preferably in an Agile development environment
- Minimum 3 years of experience with tools like Test Complete
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Windows-based scripting languages like PowerShell, WSH etc.
- Experience with tools Cucumber, Maven
- Experience using CI/CD tools - Gitlab CI, Jenkins
- Minimum 5 years of experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript etc.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in API testing (automation preferred with Karate)
- Experience working with databases and various data formats and related technologies for testing.
