What IT Program & Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Transformation enables the organization to drive complex and transformational programs through disciplined project/program management and change management strategies.
IT Program & Project Management applies Information Technology knowledge and experience to plan, organize, and control resources, procedures, and timing for complex projects within the Information Technology function. This family organizes project teams, establishes project schedules and individual responsibilities, and determines resource requirements. This job family manages project budgets and reports on the status of project cost, timing and staffing. IT Program & Project Management also ensures adherence to internal external quality standards and integrates vendor tasks and deliverables into project plans.
Responsibilities
Technical Skills
- Proven experience managing projects with MS Project Experience managing budgets, financial acumen, organizational skills, attention to detail
- Experience with Indirect Procurement, Vendor relationships, Ariba BuyNow/Ariba Guided Buying, Purchase Requests for Hardware, Software, SOWs, & MSAs
- Proven stakeholder management - who are the stakeholders, communication plan, structure
- Proven Risk/Issue management/mitigation experience
- Proven experience managing project teams consisting of onshore, offshore, nearshore resources remotely
- Ability to multi-task PM escalations and governance of your teams standard work
- Previous experience managing / controlling project budgets between $500K - $5M

- Comfortable wearing multiple hats and pivoting to support the team
- Comfortable giving presentations to teams & supporting providing updates to Senior Leaders

- Be strategically minded to understand broader impacts of decisions to all parties involved in a highly matrixed environment
- Effective management of a remote workforce
Qualifications
- 4-8 years of experience preferred
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field preferred
- Strong MS Office experience required (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Project Online/Server experience - PPM tool (Project Web App) strongly preferred

- Decisions have a direct impact to work unit operations and customers
- Frequently interacts with subordinates, customers, and peer groups at various management levels
- Interactions normally involve information exchange and basic problem resolution
- Acts as Junior Practice Tower Manager
Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $130,035
