Job description

Highly visible position reporting directly to the CFO.

The Controller manages the financial records and maintains the accounting systems used in various accounting schedules, financial statements, board reports, and analyses. The Controller ensures that all accounting policies and procedures are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and prepares and submits all financial reports to top management and government agencies. Also supervises accounting staff.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum 5 years of prior accounting experience with a minimum three years with a public company.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally accepted accounting principles.
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
• Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
