Responsibilities
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.
The Evening Lead Therapist will act as the designee of the Director when the director is not on site. The Evening Lead Therapist will also be responsible for their Therapist’s duties. The PHP/IOP Therapist is responsible for conducting therapeutic services for out-patient patients. They provide group counseling sessions. PHP/IOP Therapists are responsible for interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives and treatment summaries. PHP/IOP Therapists act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact while the patient is participating in an out-patient program, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. The PHP/IOP Therapists are also liaisons with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
QualificationsMaster's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
Three (3) years direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adults adolescents and/or children with psychiatric diagnoses.
For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC required.
