The Manager of HIM Coding for Community Health Partners (CHP) is responsible for establishing strategic direction and determine operational vision for HIM Coding, HIM CDI, Charge Verification Specialist, and coding education to strive for excellence in quality and accuracy of charge entry and coding assignments. Accountable for providing effective communication, staff development, budget support, interdepartmental relations and personnel management. Works closely with clinical departments and CHP Revenue Cycle to ensure compliance with coding guidelines, government guidelines, various payer and internal charge capture policies.
Education
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience
• 5 years of recent experience in a leadership role in a Health Information Management Coding department in a professional ambulatory environment required
Licenses and Certifications
• One of the following is required
