Job Summary

Join our dynamic team in the area of Fairfax, VA, as a full-time Legal Assistant. As a crucial part of our thriving Criminal Defense practice, you'll provide essential administrative and legal support, handling various aspects of our cases and assisting two attorneys with administrative duties. Take this opportunity to contribute to our firm's growth and success while pursuing your passion for the legal field. This role will sit in office for 40 hours per week in our Fairfax, VA office.

Responsibilities and duties: 

• Perform administrative and client service functions.
• Attorney calendar maintenance.
• Assist with the drafting and completion of necessary documentation.
• Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, handling incoming and outgoing emails, and assisting with any office needs.
• Perform client relation responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist with other essential functions, as assigned.
• Support with caseload duties (case file management, document preparation and court filings, case research, case status updates, etc.)

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of legal assistant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong administrative experience required.
• Prior criminal defense experience preferred.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work well independently.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• MS Office and G-Suite package command.
