Job description
JOB SUMMARY: Prepares and cooks food necessary for the nutritional care of hospital patients, staff and others as necessary.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to follow and understand basic food handling recipes, directions and oral instructions.
Checks production sheet for amounts to prepare.
Always keeps waste/over production to a minimum.
Maintains proper steam tables temperature and cleanliness.
Ensures proper techniques for stored food and leftovers.
Ability to complete basic mathematic calculations.
Ability to answer questions from and speak to customers in a courteous manner.
All other duties as assigned or required.
Ability to multi-task while ensuring safety and sanitation practices are adhered to throughout the shift.
Maintain regular attendance
Ability to adhere to strict food handling and storage directions.
