Job description
Position Overview: We are looking for a qualified Attorney Bankruptcy with experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to clients and colleagues throughout the bankruptcy process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research relevant case law to support any legal actions related to bankruptcy proceedings
- Advise clients on bankruptcy issues, including debt restructuring, asset protection, repayment plans, and other bankruptcy-related matters
- Work with bankruptcy trustees and creditors to negotiate potential settlements
- Prepare a variety of documents related to bankruptcy, including motions, petitions, and court orders
- Attend court proceedings and meetings with clients, creditors, and other attorneys
- Monitor changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Debtor side experience mainly in insolvency and reorganization is a MUST
- 2+ years of experience as an Attorney Bankruptcy in a professional setting
- Knowledge of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal bankruptcy laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
