Job Title: Collections Specialist

Location: Fremont (Onsite) 

Compensation: $30-$36 per hour

Our Fremont based client has an immediate need for a strong Collections Specialist to come onboard on a strong contract-to-hire basis. This role will be fully onsite in Fremont. The Collections Specialist will be focused on aging accounts, communicating with customers via email & phone for payment, researching disputed delinquent account balances, entering collections notes into the system and more. The ideal candidate will have a good attitude, be a team player and have great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Work on collections and prepare correspondence on delinquent accounts
• Review checks received daily and reconcile aging
• Cash applications 
• Daily deposits 
• Prepare lien releases
• Resolve AR/Collections related discrepancies 
• File all pay apps, lien releases and miscellaneous documents daily
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in an accounting department 
• Ability to multitask & function in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
• Experience with ERP systems preferred 
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong customer service skills 
• Construction industry is required
