Position Summary The Director of Education, reporting to the Vice President of Family Wellness, collaborates to innovate new curricula covering diverse disciplines within Family Wellness. This role entails overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive educational, physical, and wellness plans, setting and achieving goals and objectives for ORR programs. The position holds responsibility for thoroughly monitoring the execution of curriculum development, assessing educational effectiveness, and implementing improvement programs in alignment with ORR and State of California policies and procedures.

- Strategically plan, execute, and appraise educational programs and services in strict adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve UC learning outcomes and promote academic excellence across all programs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards related to education programs and initiatives.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including industry professionals and regulatory bodies, to identify emerging trends and opportunities for collaboration.
- Providing adept supervision and evaluation for all educational staff and programs.
- Evaluates the ORR education materials to ensure that they are commensurate with the level of education, appropriate to the courses of study, in sufficient quantity and scope to meet the educational objectives of the ORR program.
- Participates in ongoing institutional assessment, improvement, and planning for traditional programs.
- Participates in and facilitates community outreach that enhances the educational experience of the UCs and supports the objectives of the various traditional programs.
- Tracks and monitors all professional development activities of the traditional staff. Creates and facilitates in-service professional development activities.
- Reviews and monitors UCs academic performance to allow support and guidance where necessary.
- Conducts monthly faculty observations and yearly evaluations for all ORR centers.
- Participates in ORR programs including making presentations and speaking on designated topics.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Ensure that employee performance evaluations are completed on a timely basis.
- Coordinate staffing schedules and supervision.
- Supervise, coaches, and mentors staff providing guidance to their work and learning including, when necessary, corrective/disciplinary action in a timely and professional manner.
Conducts annual and probationary performance appraisals for assigned staff as assigned.

Education/Experience: Master's degree or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Masters degree or Post-Masters Certificate, in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Language Ability: Read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents. Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
Mathematical Ability: Comprehend and apply principles of advanced calculus, algebra and advanced statistical theory. Work with concepts such as limits, rings, quadratic and differential equations, and proofs of theorems.
Reasoning Ability: Apply logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Deal with nonverbal symbolism (e.g., formulas and equations) in difficult phases. Deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient in the use of standard office equipment.
