Job description

Acuity is seeking a cleared Cyber Analyst, will become part of an agency cybersecurity program providing cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. The program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, to aid and advise the customer.

  1. Monitor security events from all the various sensors and agents, providing analysis and correlation and identify vulnerabilities  
  2. Detect, triage, conduct initial investigation of security events, provide initial response, and completes reporting of security events
  3. Coordinate and respond to cybersecurity related events on all of the monitored network and the systems on those network
  4. Develop methods to provide best cyber defense capability
  5. Process and analyze cyber threat intelligence information
  6. Perform forensic analysis of digital information utilizing various tools such as SIEM to gather and analyze evidence, Identify , analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  7. Perform network vulnerability analysis utilizing modeling tools and network forensic analysis utilizing flow and connection analysis tools
  8. Test new software to help protect the data, and help users adhere to new regulations and process to ensure the network stay safe
  9. Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, network, security monitoring, tuning and management of IT security systems and applications, incident response, digital forensics, and loss prevention
  10. Use critical thinking to find new ways to resolve issues
  11. Plan and carry out the security measures for an organization's network and servers
  12. Prevent cybersecurity breaches and work quickly to secure data if a breach is detected
  13. Have detailed knowledge of I ntelligence Community Directives (ICDs) related to cybersecurity
  14. Have detailed knowledge of the functioning and monitoring of common operating systems (Windows, Common Linux, and virtual infrastructures)
