Job description
Job Summary:
The Finance/Billing Assistant at Menorah Park is a part-time hourly position located in Syracuse, New York. This individual support role is responsible for providing accurate billing information to patients and insurance providers. The successful candidate will be organized, conscientious, and reliable with a working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
Compensation and Benefits:
The successful Finance/Billing Assistant will receive a competitive salary of $18 to $20 per hour, paid weekly. In addition to the salary, other associated benefits may include 401k, and health/dental benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review patient billing information for accuracy and completeness
- Reconcile deposits and update billing system
- Research and respond to account inquiries
- Monitor and maintain the supporting medical, financial, and socio economic databases
- Execute various reporting functions
- Conduct regular reviews of accounts
- Make phone calls to verify information
- Provide superior customer service
Requirements:
- Education High School Diploma
- Experience in working in an office setting with HIPAA information
- Strong spelling, math skills, and attention to detail
- Organized and good communication skills
- Good judgement and discretion with confidential information
