We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary: As a Construction Estimator at DD Insulation, you will play a pivotal role in our project development process. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with construction projects, ensuring that our proposals are competitive while maintaining profitability. Your expertise will help us secure and deliver projects that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Cost Estimation: Calculate and prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.

Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit comprehensive and competitive bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.

Value Engineering: Collaborate with the project team to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.

Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, construction methods, and cost-saving innovations to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.

Technical Ability:

Ability to print plans from files provided by customer. Take off project by hand from blueprints. Provide accurate numbers on project complied into an excel spreadsheets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably in multifamily and residential construction.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
