Job description
Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional at Integrity First Caregivers will provide essential support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or mental health disorders in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation of $15 per hour, paid biweekly. As an individual contributor, the Direct Support Professional will work closely with clients to promote their independence, enhance their quality of life, and uphold their dignity, while adhering to the values and principles of Integrity First Caregivers.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes, day programs, and community settings.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Complete all documentation and reporting accurately and in a timely manner.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Encourage and support clients' participation in community activities and integration with society.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for clients, promoting their independence and dignity.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college or relevant coursework preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a direct care role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends.
