Description

The Visual Merchandise Manager is responsible for planning and implementing visual merchandising programs in all sales divisions that maximize sales and enhances brand credibility. Merchandise presentation should highlight features and benefits that attract, engage, and motivate the customer towards making a purchase.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm (with times of mandatory overtime)

JOB SUMMARY

  1. Direct implementation of visual merchandising plan to support the annual merchandise calendar including stores, trade show booths, showrooms and corporate facilities.
  2. Direct process of supporting the in-store presentations that tell an effective story and prompt the customer to increase the number of items purchased.
  3. Build relationships with key store personnel to facilitate effective communication between remote stores and home office as relates to visual merchandising standards and challenges.
  4. Partner with Wholesale team to build compelling trade displays showcasing Stonewall Kitchen Family of Brands products that inspire our wholesale partners to emulate in their retail spaces.
  5. Resolve store specific merchandising challenges that require adaptations including store size, store type, volume, spatial constraints, and inventory levels.
  6. Lead the prop purchasing / budgeting process, ensuring cost effective and consistent props are purchased as needed to effectively execute merchandise plan; understand existing prop inventory and work to purchase / liquidate as needed to ensure that an adequate inventory is available while simultaneously maximizing limited storage space
  7. Develop and execute visual merchandising training for field personnel that complies with Brand Mission and Company Objectives.
  8. Build constructive relationships throughout the company to align support for all visual merchandising and brand initiatives. External areas include merchandise planning (stock/over stock issues), design team, buying team, Wholesale, etc.
  9. Track, monitor, and translate marketplace trends into cutting edge presentations that are brand appropriate
  10. Partner with Director of Retail Operations on store “walk throughs” including store maintenance issues and the annual Capital Expense plan for the various stores. Walk through documentation should be prepared and sent within two business days of a visit.
  11. Present thoughts, ideas and strategies in front of groups both large and small.
  12. Update and maintain store floor plans to reflect most current merchandise location.
  13. Ability to travel to store locations 

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of visual merchandising experience.
  2. Strong communication skills and proven visual merchandising ability while demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Strong computer skills (Adobe, Excel & Word)
  4. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  5. Experience with digital cameras and related software (e.g., Photoshop) strong preferred
  6. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis, stand up to 8 hours at a time, climb ladders, bend, twist, reach, push and pull, perform repetitive motions, and ability to climb stairs
  7. Must be able to move large quantities of merchandise with carts, dollies, hand truck and other moving equipment
