The Vision Product Group is looking for an Accessibility QA Engineer to help us explore, define, and build accessibility solutions for the next generation of interactive computing for our platform. As a member of this team, you will have a unique opportunity to work with some of Apple's most advanced technologies (AR, VR, ML, CV) to help build empowering solutions for everyone.
Key Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a Software QA Engineer role, or comparable experience
- Experience with Apple’s Accessibility features
- Experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
- Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
- Experience testing mobile applications
- Software scripting skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Perl)
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This will require deep integration with our development engineers, creating test plans, bug reporting and triaging, identifying automation opportunities, and supporting design reviews. You'll help us identify holes in coverage, actively sync with multi-functional teams to reduce duplication, foster better testing, and resist regressions. A passion about accessibility and critical attention towards documentation is key. We are building a creative and diverse team that will span a broad range of applications, tools, and frameworks. Education & Experience
B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
- Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment with the necessary support Ability to respond and react to changing priorities quickly and efficiently with expectations communicated well on both sides Good understanding of software development and the QA life cycle Familiar with 3D computer graphics concepts a plus Experience with computer graphic developer kits (e.g. Unreal, Unity, CryEngine) a plus
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $160,700.00 and $241,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
