ABOUT THE ROLE
The IT Security Compliance Specialist will serve as an individual contributor within the IT GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) department, focusing on implementing established IT security standards and collaborating with IT technologists. This role will primarily focus on coordinating process implementation efforts, documenting existing processes, and identifying opportunities for process improvements related to IT operations and security compliance initiatives.

Essential Functions
Collaborate with IT technologists to ensure the implementation of identified IT security remediation initiatives consistent with established standards and procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and propose solutions for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in both IT security and IT operational practices.
Assist in conducting audits and assessments to monitor compliance with established security policies and procedures.
Document IT security processes and procedures, ensuring they align with compliance requirements and industry best practices.
Coordinate the documentation efforts across different IT teams, ensuring consistency and accuracy in process documentation.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to communicate and educate stakeholders on IT security compliance requirements.

ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security, compliance, or a related field within a large corporate environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a plus
Prior process improvement experience or certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, CPP, TQM, CBPP) are a plus
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience in documenting IT security processes and procedures, with an eye for detail and accuracy
Strong analytical skills
Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive implementation
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Proficient understanding of IT security standards, frameworks, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX) and their practical application
WHAT WE OFFER
Compensation & Benefits
Salary $65,000-$95,000/ year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
Two days per week remote work option for non-field roles depending on position and performance.
