Job description
The Senior Director, IT Modernization Transformation will play a pivotal role in reshaping our technology infrastructure and driving innovation within the organization. The role will be responsible for executing a comprehensive transformation roadmap to modernize our IT systems and operations, enhance efficiency, and improve our overall customer experience. This position requires strong communication skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The Senior Director will report to VP, Technology Platforms & Enterprise Architecture.
What you will do
- Transformation Strategy : Execute and adjust, as needed, the transformation program. Communicate strategy changes and ensure strategy changes are aligned with the business goals and objectives.
- Program Leadership: Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of the multi-year IT transformation program for application performance optimization (APO), including defining project goals, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with senior executives, department heads, and project teams to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Resource Management: Manage a team of technology professionals, vendors, and consultants to drive successful program delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the transformation program and develop mitigation strategies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate the progress, challenges, and results of the transformation program to various stakeholders, including executive leadership.
- Budget Management & Value Realization : Manage and oversee the budget for the IT transformation program, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Track, report and ensure return on investment for all components of the transformation program.
- 15+ years of proven track record successfully leading large-scale IT transformation programs in a senior leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, IT operations, and emerging technologies.
- Experience in successfully managing and delivering complex technical projects or programs, ideally within a fast-paced, technology-driving environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking ability, with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Results oriented with excellent organizational skills while being engaging and collaborative.
- Experience in creating a culture of motivation, positive energy and the ability to recognize, develop and empower diverse talent.
- Experience in the retail industry.
