Job Summary
The Talent Development Partner works cross-functionally to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training and development resources that help employees do their best work. The successful candidate must be innovative and passionate about developing people with a clear understanding of organizational development and adult learning. This includes a level of expertise on the current tools and trends in talent, learning, and performance management. You will have a direct impact on employee experience from an employee’s first day through their career development journey at PowerSchool.
Responsibilities

- Identify, create, and implement talent development programs that enable PowerSchoolers to grow in their personal journeys with the skills and knowledge to achieve our strategic objectives. Program examples include mentorship program, career framework, LinkedIn Learning, and compliance training.
- Manage and facilitate our corporate onboarding program, providing a best-in-class onboarding experience for newly hired and acquired employees.
- Use your instructional design skills and knowledge of adult learning principles to create simple and effective learning experiences that elicit behavior change.
- Collaborate with business partners and People Experience team to support key talent processes like performance management, talent review, succession planning, and 360 evaluations. This could include managing project plans, building/delivering training, and creating on-demand resources like job aids, SOPs, or video tutorials.
- Facilitate live training to audiences of varying size and level across PowerSchool. Content may range from PowerSchool knowledge and processes like goal setting, career development, and performance management to interpersonal/character skills like delivering feedback, managing up, and prioritization.
- Communicate and promote learning opportunities to build excitement from employees and stakeholders.
- Support additional People Experience projects and priorities as needed.
Qualifications
To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a role focused on Talent/Organizational Development, workplace learning, or instructional design
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, HR, adult learning, instructional design, business administration or related field preferred
- Experienced facilitator, comfortable presenting to groups both virtually and in-person
- Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders and collaborators, keeping a project plan, and tracking deliverables
- Proficiency executing instructional design projects, specifically web-based training using Articulate 360 (or Adobe Captivate)
- Character skills for success: resourcefulness, creativity, learning agility, strategic and critical thinking, navigating ambiguity, and collaboration
