Job description
Provides supervision of the daily operations on the assigned units. Acts on behalf of the organization, providing supervision for staff members. Participates in the hiring process and disciplinary action as necessary. Demonstrates knowledge of and assures compliance with accrediting/regulatory agency standards, hospital and departmental policies and procedures and customer service standards.
Requirements
Experience
o Three years of Behavioral Health/Psych Inpatient experience
o Management experience (Charge, Lead, Preceptor, etc...)
o Teaching experience preferred
o Experience with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems required
Education and Training
o BSN required; MSN preferred
o Knowledge of software applications (Outlook, Microsoft) required
License, Certification & Registration
o RN Massachusetts License at time of hire

o Excellent interpersonal skills; communicates effectively with patients, family members, physicians, senior leadership and staff.

o Demonstrates understanding of local, state and federal regulating agencies (DCF, DPH, TJC).
o Demonstrates dependability and transparency.
o Documented effectiveness in confronting problems and resolving conflict.
