Licensed Clinical Supervisor.
Barcelona Counseling is a small private practice that strives to provide quality mental health services to the community, including the Latinx and Hispanic communities by prioritizing the needs of the clients and the well-being of the therapists.
This is a full-time salary Position: 15 hours providing direct Client Counseling and Clinical Supervision.
Job Summary & Responsibilities: - The Employee will perform Clinical Mental Health Services and Clinical Supervisor duties.
- Provide support regarding clinical matters to the Clinical Director.
- Participate in Group Clinical Supervision monthly, and weekly individual Clinical Supervision for Student Interns, Associates, and Licensed Clinicians.
- Coordinate and organize Supervisees’ monthly training.
- Provide input and feedback on policies and procedures.
- Convey information regarding policies and practices to clinicians.
- Conduct chart audits to ensure compliance with Barcelona Counseling policies; procedures.
- Provide additional support and sign off on clinical staff documentation of new clinicians to ensure compliance with Barcelona Counseling policies, procedures, and medical necessity.
- Monitor clients’ transfers to ensure a clinically appropriate transition.
- Approve/deny for supervised supervisees.
- Demonstrate an understanding of sound ethical practice in conjunction with the established and defined ethics of one’s training and discipline.
- Demonstrate competence in leadership, wellness, oversight and evaluation of services, staff development, service planning, case management and coordination, utilization of community resources, group, family and
- individual therapy or counseling, documentation and rationale for service to promote intended outcomes and implementation of Barcelona Counseling policies.
- Demonstrate competence and humility in terms of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, religion, class, culture, ability in clinical work and management style.
- Demonstrate commitment to the preservation of a workplace that embraces diversity.
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to teach/mentor and train staff.
- Remain up to date with current Barcelona Counseling’s goals and policies, and requirements set forth by Barcelona Counseling’s contracted insurance companies.
- Function proficiently in a web-based computer environment.
- Effectively organize time and responsibilities.
- Respond with an appropriate level of urgency to issues raised by clinicians, prioritize importance, and resolve issues or delegate as appropriate.
- Model through behaviors and attitudes the values that reflect and are consistent with the policies and values of Barcelona Counseling.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a Master's or Doctoral level degree in Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Candidates must be licensed in Oregon.
- Candidates must be able to practice in the State of Oregon without restrictions.
- Applicants are required to pass a criminal background check.
- Candidates are required to have computer skills and the ability to learn and utilize electronic health record software.
- Candidates need to be willing to panel with health insurance carriers. Preferred Applicant Experience & Skills:
- 1+ years of experience providing clinical supervision.
- Working knowledge of the principles and techniques of family and child therapy and experience providing services to child, adolescent, and family therapy clients.
- Training and experience with EMDR Therapy are highly desired or willing to be trained (paid by Barcelona Counseling).
- Experience with youth working with Play Therapy or Art Therapy preferred.
- Bilingual/Bicultural in Spanish (preferable).
