Job Summary:
HCA’s Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for their Occupational Health Program. This is a part-time position (full days M/W and ½ day on Friday). The individual will support the Medical Director and/or designated physicians, in developing, implementing and maintaining the Occupational Health Service.
Qualified Candidates: - Assess and treat work-related injury and exposure. Determine the health status of employees by obtaining health histories, perform physician examinations and establish treatment plans.
- Perform various employment examinations (e.g., post-offer physicals, return-to-work physicals, fit for duty physicals, medical surveillance, DOT physicals, ROTC physicals, Coast Guard physicals).
- Coordinate activities pertaining to pre-placement examinations, working in cooperation with occupational health physician, nurse clinicians, applicable Personnel Department employees and client company personnel.
- Assess and refer employee health problems to applicable health care and related resources both within and outside the facility.
- Current NH Nurse Practitioner License of PA license
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration and physicians
