Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Worker - Food Service-Dishwasher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Your primary goal will be to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for our customers and staff members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sanitation procedures
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work tasks
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work schedules, including weekends and evenings as required
Responsibilities:
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety guidelines
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, including cleaning and regular maintenance
- Organize and stock clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in appropriate storage areas
- Assist with receiving and storing food supplies and equipment as needed
- Conduct proper disposal of waste material according to established guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workspace, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash cans
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, as directed by the culinary team
- Support other kitchen staff members with various tasks as required
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
