Our client is a privately held, high-growth and high-potential custom trucking and mobility manufacturing company that thrives on innovation and competitiveness. Their leadership team is comprised of seasoned entrepreneurs who have a proven track record of business success in previous ventures and since taking over the company 3 years ago, they have driven the growth rate by over 300%. Despite competing against much larger entities (and with only 55 employees), they continuously win by leveraging their entrepreneurial spirit, vision, and seizing opportunities in the market and have some Fortune 500 customers to include Haliburton. Position Overview: They are seeking a Vice President of Operations who embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and possesses the foresight to recognize and capitalize on opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about manufacturing operations and will play a pivotal role in driving our company's success. Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on efficiency, quality, and safety. Serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects of the business, excluding Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Identify and implement strategies to increase production capacity while maintaining high standards. Streamline processes and workflows to improve lead times and overall operational efficiency. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational goals with overall business objectives. Develop and implement performance metrics to track progress and ensure targets are met. Provide leadership and mentorship to the operations team, inspiring them to excel and achieve their full potential. Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge. Actively participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to support the company's growth objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration preferred but not necessary. Proven track record of success in manufacturing operations leadership roles, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and lean manufacturing principles. Demonstrated ability to drive results and lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while also paying attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Experience working in high-growth environments or startups is highly desirable. Proficiency in relevant software and technology platforms.
