Job description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead and support, in collaboration with our Senior Director, the program execution of project management services for Marriott Select Brands in the US and Canada. This role requires deep knowledge of development and construction management to manage a team of project managers, processes, and internal stakeholder relationships in support of Marriott's Select Brand New Build program.

Expected Contributions:
Manage a team of project management professionals supporting franchised and managed owner accounts during all phases of project development and construction.
Oversee a significant Account Pipeline focusing on MxM (Managed by Marriott) and Key Franchised Ownerships/Projects, ensuring overall project execution of multiple projects.
Foster strong partnerships with equivalent design studio directors and allied disciplines such as the Openings & Transitions team, Fire & Life Safety team, Asset Management, Engineering/MEP, Accounting, Lodging Development, Franchising, Brand, regional Operations teams, and Global Design Strategies.
Cultivate external partnerships with owners, franchisees, consultants, and contractors.
Support the Senior Director of Project Management in creating, maintaining, evolving, and executing project management processes and tools for Marriott Select Brands.
Lead the team-wide day-to-day execution of project data management processes utilizing proprietary database tools and project management software to track a high volume pipeline of active projects and contribute to internal and external forecasting and reporting.
Manage and coach team-wide project execution, focusing on design excellence, early problem identification/resolution, aligned with Owner objectives and quality standards required by Marriott.
Support the execution of new Franchise Owner Orientation and Managed kick-off meeting processes.
Understand and communicate business drivers and transaction details of a project.
Support the process of assigning projects and balancing team project loads in coordination with other directors.
Leverage existing technology and focus on training staff to exploit available efficiencies. Support the development and roll-out of new technology.
Develop and implement continuing education/career enrichment opportunities for current/veteran team members.
Manage project management onboarding processes and yearly training exercises to ensure clear, consistent project-related issues are resolved with collaborative, smart business solutions.
Share best practices and lessons learned to promote continuous product, process, and team improvements.

Education/Experience:
4-year degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, or Engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience within the industry.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience; preferably 8 years' experience in hospitality projects.
Experience in architecture, estimating, product specification, procurement, construction management, and accounting.
Experience in lodging design, construction, and/or renovation processes.
