Job description

Description:

5+ years as a Marine or Industrial Structural/Pipe Welder

Welds fabricated cast or forged components according to specifications knowledge of welding characteristics of metal.

Welds parts in position for fabrication of vessels, tanks or other structural assemblies.

Uses carbon electrodes to cut, shape, and groove metal. .

Examines weld sizes of weld beads.

Structural Testing:

SMAW 11018m VERT, HORZ, OVHD,

FCAW VERT, HORZ, OVHD,

ALUMINUM GMAW VERT, HORZ < OVHD

Pipewelder test:

TIG 3 pipe testing in the 6G position for carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel

3 thin wall pipe in the vertical and overhead positions for carbon steel, stainless steel and copper nickel

stick welding test in the 6 G position for 11018M x-ray test
