Position: Medical Doctor - Primary Care Physician - MD/DO
Department: Medical Department
Reports to: Medical Director
Pay Status: Full time, Exempt, Salary
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Will be required to work additional early mornings, evenings and weekends. (On Call)
Location: Nashua NH Job Summary: We are looking for a MD/ DO to join our practice. In this position, you will be working closely with patients and addressing their health needs as a Primary Care Physician.
You will also be required to educate patients on preventive health practices and the treatment of illnesses. Assisting pediatrics, adults and women health care in the community.
The ideal candidate needs to have empathy for those in need and be compassionate. We are looking for someone who will enjoy helping people through difficult times, focusing on life's joys while simultaneously fostering hope that things can get better!
MD/ DO will diagnose and treat patients with different illness or injury-from diabetes management to seasonal flu shots-and provides preventive care such as counseling about diet or exercise habits.
Requirements Basic Qualifications: - License New Hampshire Medical Doctor - Primary Care Physician - MD/DO.
- Board Certified or Board eligible Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
- DEA Control Substance Registration number active for the State of New Hampshire.
- PDMP aware website.
- Authorization to work in the USA.
Preferred Qualifications :
- MATE compliance with DEA to prescribe control substance.
- Substance use disorder and medication assisted treatment is highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Extensive knowledge of the preventive health and diagnosed skills for pediatric, adults and women health.
- Ability to refer to the right specialist if needed.
- Demonstrates practical interpersonal communication skills.
- Brings an innovative approach to work, can "think outside the box."
- Takes a team approach in accomplishing treatment goals.
- Possesses strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrates sound judgment in anticipating problems or adverse outcomes; takes appropriate corrective action.
- Takes initiative to engage patients and other health professionals. Participates in activities that support continued competence as a MD/DO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Provides comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or referral services to individuals and families.
- Assesses individual needs; anticipates problems; follows up on concerns.
- Practices evidence-based medicine and adhere to the American Medical Association Code of Ethics
- Leads and participates in multidisciplinary health care team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Recommend diagnostic testing and procedures; presents findings and recommendations to referring physicians upon request.
- Consults with specialists regarding patient treatment plans at a level of complexity that exceeds the Family Primary Care MD/DO scope of practice.
- Consults with and performs screening of pregnant women.
- Participates in case of management activities when appropriate.
- Being able to read an emergency EKG, perform a pelvic examination and Papanicolaou test.
- Completes records and maintains all required records in accordance with clinic policies.
- Have proficiency in the manage of Electronic Medical Records.
- Being able to follow patients with SUD.
- Participate in providers meetings and present patients in the round meeting when needed.
