Job description
POSITION GOAL
Ensure business processes and ERP systems configuration are aligned by serving as the liaison between users of the ERP system and the support center department by designing and/or redesigning business processes, overseeing development and configuring, maintaining, or enhancing the system to accommodate all related payroll and time management processes. Provide continuing analytical services to identify changes in work practices, requirements for technology applications, and implementation of associated system changes. Analyze financial information, identify trends and compare information for accuracy and reasonableness in order to provide management with information that can be relied upon in making business decisions. ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES The Process Analyst, Payroll shall: 1. maintain/enhance the ERP system to efficiently and effectively support work practices, District policies, legal and fiscal/budget requirements, administration of collective bargaining agreements, and personnel administration. 2. identify, analyze, and resolve work process issues, document system user's needs and problems through Remedy tickets and/or remotely using LANDesk. 3. research and evaluate possible software solutions, and design and implement appropriate corrective actions by creating transports as needed for changes in configuration, table maintenance, among others. 4. work with other departments on items related to time management such as Sick Leave Banks, Attendance Awards, FMLA, Workers Comp and Disability reporting. 5. coordinate with pertinent departments/locations District initiatives involving any changes/upgrades to the payroll system modules; document each new or changed work process procedure, report, service or utility. 6. communicate to end users and super users the process and/or system changes and roll out strategies; communicate through print, face-to-face or online presentations. 7. design solutions necessary to develop or add new functions within the payroll system modules or work environment. 8. ensure integration of payroll system module configuration changes to other modules. 9. evaluate, trouble-shoot and recommend security accesses for the users of the payroll modules. 10. optimize current work processes by adapting to new functionality in the payroll system modules or work environment. 11. create, configure, maintain and update Holiday Calendars; generate and maintain Work Schedules; maintain system tables as related to payroll/time management; provide support for all aspects of time configuration, including CATS, FMLA Workbench, quota configuration, time transfer, time evaluation and time rules/schemas. 12. maintain, configure, and update the payroll modules in an accurate and timely manner to reflect all associated changes and updates to policies, procedures, and regulated requirements. 13. articulate user needs to the development team and take ownership of development work performed 14. analyze, test and implement new releases, patches and maintenance for payroll modules. 15. as needed, work with consultants regarding payroll system related activities.
