Position Objective: 

Provide technical support in the designing, planning, operation, and maintenance of electric or electronic components, equipment, systems, and machinery used in generation, transmission, distribution, and utilization of electrical energy.

 

Responsibilities:

• At the direction of the leading engineer, assist in writing engineering documentations (specifications, development plan, testing requirements, etc) and embedded software in C programming language for 3-phase motor control and other electronic control products such as wireless communications.
• At the direction of the leading engineer, assist in the design, layout, and prototyping of analog and digital circuit boards that meet UL, CSA, CE, EMI and WEEE/RoHS guidelines utilizing Altium Design Software. Work with the mechanical designers & engineers to properly document the project.
• Wire-wrap prototype circuitry, populate blank PCBs with electronic components utilizing a soldering workstation.
• Test and debug new circuitry utilizing oscilloscopes and DVOMs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support the overall product development efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Relationship To Others: 

Position is part of the product development group that supports new marketing projects. Daily involvement with lead electronics and electrical engineers.


Dimensions of Position: 

This position needs a motivated hands-on individual that can take direction for the designing, prototyping, and testing of new electronic circuits for sprayers and accessories. This position will work closely with other engineers, designers, and lab technicians.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have a working knowledge of “C” language, Lab View experience is a plus
• Light assembly
• Soldering
• Oscilloscope usage
• DVOM usage
• Report writing
• Microsoft Office software usage

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard or home office environment which requires occasionally lifting articles such as file boxes or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting most of the time with long periods of computer work and phone usage.
