Envision Academy seeks a Counselor . Reporting to the school Principal, the Counselor will ensure diverse learners and their families create a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides guidance and assistance to students with learning, behavior and/or adjustment problems
- Provides recommendations to administration and staff on how to better meet social, emotional and academic needs of students.
- Collaborates with teachers, parents, and administration to find effective solutions for meeting learning and behavior needs.
- Provides information regarding community services available to students and families; make appropriate referrals as needed.
- Acts as a contact person/ liaison with social services and or community agencies providing services to students.
- Acts as a contact/liaison for all families with high needs, and acts as our MKV contact person.
- Coordinates services with mental health counselors.
- Provides individualized services in a full-inclusion model.
- Provides mental health counseling in individual and group formats.
- Participates as a member of the school site's Crisis Response Team.
- Provides support in developing appropriate Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA’s) and Behavioral Intervention Plan (BIP’s) including performing FBA's and developing BIP's Provides counseling services to students to help resolve and manage problems that interfere with school performance.
- Establishes and/or participates in effective RTI and SST processes
- Maintain accurate records of all psychological/ counseling/ social services rendered to students and teacher requests for consultation.
- Responds to crisis situations in tandem with colleagues and community personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field required
- One of the following is required:
- PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential in School Counseling
- MFT
- LCSW
- LPCC
- LMFCC
- Licensed Educational, School, or Clinical Psychologist
- Two years or more of experience in a school setting preferred
- Receptiveness to feedback and desire to continuously improve instruction in service of student academic outcomes
- Experience working successfully with parents and families, especially African American, Latine/a/o/x, and immigrant families
- Spanish fluency preferred
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The annual salary range for this role is: $64,700-$98,700, and is dependent upon years of aligned experience and credentials.
