At Virginia Heart, we are looking for a dedicated DME Billing Specialist with experience and expertise in revenue recovery, appeals, denial, audits and reconsideration requests. The DME billing specialist will be required to keep track of all patient DME equipment re-supply depending on insurance requirements. Must possess proficiency with DME specific software and work with the Sleep team to provide a consistent workflow between departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing and tracing all aspects of DME billing.
- Monitor and review aged A.R.
- Perform all aspects of patient billing for DME and re-supplies
- Processing and responding to unpaid billings, denials, etc.
- Review and process write of request
- Check network benefits and eligibility.
- Monitor productivity reports.
- Track all Durable Medical Equipment (DME) setups.
- Coordinate with Sleep provider any changes to patient prescriptions.
- Coordinate with Sleep depatment to gather documentation needed for insurance authorization.
- Create templates through DME software for all insurances.
- Create schedules for all automatic re-supply patients.
- Implement efficient workflow for DME billing filing.
- Indirect reporting to Patient Accounts Manager for AR management via DME software.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's degree, prefer in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
- Strong experience in sleep medicine and Durable Medicine Equipment (DME).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in DME Billing
- Advanced knowledge and experience in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and all other medical billing codes
- Experience with multiple insurance guidelines
- Prior experience with the use of DME software. BRIGHTREE experience preferred.
- Demonstrate computer skills appropriate for the position.
