Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Gothenburg, Nebraska is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring that the customer is always first. It is their sole job to make sure the customer is 100% satisfied and that they are happy. Assistant Golf Professionals will primarily work inside. Responsibilities will include golf shop operations, tournament operations, instruction, junior golf, league operation, and management implementation. Assistant golf professionals will also be responsible for the organization of the golf shop and cart barn along with assisting on merchandising. Estimated 60 hours per week in season, 40 hours per week on shoulder months, and 20 hours per week in the off-season. Guaranteed at least 1 weekend off per month on average in season.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Works under direct supervision of the Head Golf Professional.
• Assist with all tour, association, and charity tournaments and events.
• Meets and Greets members as they enter the golf shop while checking them in for golf.
• Informs golfer of any problems that may arise on the golf course while maintaining great professionalism.
• Able to keep golf shop clean and tidy at all times; vacuuming, folding, hanging, and arranging fixtures.
• Using excellent customer service skills and establish effective working relationships with other employees, members, and all guests or the general public.
• Trustworthy and honest when dealing with cash, members, guests, and in everyday work.
• Scheduling and an ability to be flexible is key to this position.
• Assist with the merchandising operation along with purchasing.
• Assist with all golf league operations.
• Conducting lessons and assisting with a successful junior golf program.
• Assisting behind the bar and in outside services as needed.

Requirements:
Must also demonstrate good computer skills with knowledge in POS systems, e-mail, and Microsoft office.
PGA Members and/or Associates are preferred, but people with one or more years’ experience in the golf industry will be considered.

Compensation:
$16.00 – $20.00 per hour.
