Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is seeking Fleet Mechanics to perform complex maintenance and repairs on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institutes fleet of cars, trucks and all internal combustion engines and related equipment. Minimum Qualifications
High School or equivalent
Five years experience in auto mechanics or related fields
Valid U.S. Drivers License
NYS Mechanics License required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of auto and diesel mechanics
In-depth knowledge of internal combustion engines
Flexibility in dealing with emergency situations
constant attention to safety issues for self and co-workers
Ability to use a personal computer (Word, Excel, Outlook including job specific software)
Ability to work with a diverse community and create an inclusive environment
