Job description
Bridgeway Recovery Services is currently seeking a qualified
Certified Recovery Mentor (Transition Coordinator I)
to join our Medically Managed Withdrawal Treatment Team!
Position Purpose
A Transition Coordinator Level I serves as an advocate for patients beginning and during the pre-admissions process and continuing until the patient is discharged from the program and acts as a communicator between clients and health care providers to help improve or maintain a high quality of service.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Experience, Education and Credentials
- Must possess a current Certified Recovery Mentors certificate (CRM) with the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) or able to obtain it within six months of hire, or possess a current Traditional Health Worker (THW) certificate with the Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
- Must have personal lived experience and successful maintenance of recovery from either substance use issues or both mental health and substance use issues, or have personal experience with a family member who has/had substance use issues, or mental health and substance use issues.
- Must have the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
- Must be able to work independently, have effective oral and written skills, interpersonal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
- Must have two (2) years sobriety.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- One year of relevant work experience in advocacy or peer support services which demonstrate knowledge of approaches and competence in providing support to others in their recovery process from either or both mental health and substance use issues is highly preferred.
- Must be able to use a computer with well-developed word processing skills.

Compensation
- Will vary, depending on experience and credentials.
- An additional stipend is available for employees who are Spanish/English bi-lingual fluent.
- Differential pay is also available for night shift workers.
